How We Cover Canton
Accuracy First
Every factual claim in a CNews article is verified against at least one primary source before publication. Primary sources include on-chain data, official Canton Improvement Proposals (CIPs), published validator disclosures, Digital Asset press releases, and direct statements from named network participants. We do not publish statistics we cannot independently verify.
Sourcing Standards
We identify sources by name where possible. Anonymous sourcing is used only when a source has direct knowledge of material facts and faces genuine risk from identification. Rumors, unconfirmed reports, and speculative price targets are labeled as such or not published. We do not amplify social media claims without independent corroboration.
Coverage Approach
CNews covers Canton Network developments with institutional credibility as its baseline. Canton is covered in the context of what it is: production infrastructure for regulated financial markets. Negative developments — outages, governance disputes, security incidents — are reported only when verified, and are presented as factual context rather than criticism. Speculation about protocol failure, unverified security claims, and sensationalist framing are outside our editorial scope.
